Wike Dares Critics, Declares No One Can Expel Him from PDP.

Federal Capital Territory Minister asserts his loyalty and long service to the party amid internal tensions

Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has firmly responded to calls for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that nobody has the authority or courage to remove him from the party he has loyally served for years.

Speaking during a media parley in Abuja on Monday, Wike addressed the growing tensions within the PDP over his role in the current administration and his perceived political ambitions. He made it clear that his commitment to the PDP remains unshaken, despite mounting criticism from some party members.

“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for the party. I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?” Wike declared.

The former governor of Rivers State emphasized that his loyalty to the PDP is unquestionable and that he will not be pushed out easily. Wike challenged his critics by questioning their own contributions to the party, asserting his rightful place and influence within its ranks.

Wike’s remarks come at a time when internal party dynamics are under scrutiny, with debates about his political positioning and involvement in the current administration fueling speculation. Despite these tensions, Wike remains steadfast, signaling that he is not ready to back down or leave the PDP.

As the PDP navigates its internal challenges, Wike’s strong statement is likely to further shape the conversation about party unity and leadership, highlighting the ongoing struggle for influence and direction within one of Nigeria’s major political parties.
