Nollywood Giant Tyler Perry Faces Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit Over Sex Scandal

Tyler Perry, the well-known Hollywood filmmaker and media mogul, is currently facing a massive lawsuit that has shocked fans and industry insiders. The lawsuit comes from Derek Dixon, an actor who worked on Perry’s hit TV shows, Ruthless and The Oval.

Dixon further explained that Perry had total control over his job, salary, and creative chances. “Every time I refused his advances, I faced professional backlash,” he said.

Dixon described how Perry would send him unwanted sexual messages and made unwanted physical advances at his home in Georgia. Dixon also claimed that Perry tried to cover up his actions by offering more work and making promises about Dixon’s future in the industry.

“I had to leave Atlanta and move to Los Angeles just to escape the situation,” Dixon said. He also reported the harassment to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission before finally leaving the show.

The lawsuit is now seeking $260 million in damages for the harm Dixon says he suffered.

Tyler Perry has strongly denied all the allegations. His lawyer, Matthew Boyd, called the lawsuit a “shakedown” and said Dixon’s claims are completely false. 

“This is a person who got close to Tyler Perry just to set up a scam,” Boyd said. “Tyler will not be shaken down. We are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.”
