UK, France, Canada Warn Israel: Stop Gaza Attacks or Face Sanctions
Western Leaders Demand Israel Stops Attacks, Opens Gaza for Humanitarian Aid

There is serious international drama as the United Kingdom, France, and Canada have warned Israel to stop its heavy attacks in Gaza or face sanctions. The leaders of these countries say the suffering in Gaza is now “intolerable” and must end immediately.
In a strong joint message, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said, “Israel must stop its military operations and immediately allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.” They complained that Israel’s blockade has stopped food, fuel, and medicine from entering Gaza since March.

The Western leaders described Israel’s recent move to allow only a small amount of food into Gaza as “wholly inadequate.” They warned that this action could break international law. The statement also condemned some Israeli officials for talking about forcing Gaza people out of their homes, saying, “Such actions would breach legal norms.”
Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, replied by rejecting the criticism. He accused the Western leaders of “rewarding Hamas” and said,
“Calls for a ceasefire and a Palestinian state will only encourage more attacks on Israel.”
Netanyahu insisted Israel will continue its military campaign until Hamas is defeated and said Israel will keep control over Gaza.
Netanyahu added,
“We must not let the population sink into famine, both for practical and diplomatic reasons,” but made it clear that Israel’s main goal is to defeat Hamas.
The United Nations also raised alarm. Tom Fletcher, UN humanitarian relief chief, said, “The current level of aid is just a drop in the ocean compared to what is needed.”
The UK, France, and Canada said Israel has the right to defend itself, but they believe the military response is now “disproportionate.” They also called on Hamas to release all hostages taken during the 7 October 2023 attacks.

Gaza’s health ministry says over 53,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war started.
The three countries are calling for a ceasefire and support the creation of an independent Palestinian state. But Netanyahu rejected this, saying he prefers the plan of former US President Donald Trump.
This warning from the UK, France, and Canada shows that the world is losing patience with Israel’s actions in Gaza. If nothing changes, these countries may soon announce tough sanctions against Israel.
